School Fire - Help Needed!

So, we just learned that the Pre-School room at Hope Creek had a fire.  Thankfully the fire was contained to a single room but unfortunately they have lost all of their supplies, etc...   We are working on collecting donations to take with us on our Missions trip to help them recover.  If you can provide any of the items below please let us know!

Finanical Support - Two weeks left and we need your help!

We have been very humbled by the generosity of our friends and family with the financial gifts that have been given since announcing our trip. We are about 1/3 of the way to our total goal with two weeks to go as we need to have our monies in by May 10th.  We are making a final push/plea to get any additional gifts in. If you have thought about giving, please don't hesitate!

Belize T-Shirts

This weekend Brielle and Levi designed a T-shirt for our Belize trip and it turned out great! 

The original plan was to make shirts for our family as a fun project. But after some thought we have a few more ideas.

First, we believe that it would be a great way for our kids to give back to everyone that is supporting us.  So, for everyone that supports our trip with a financial gift the kids will be making and sending you a shirt! Just send us a note with your shirt size and we will put our child labor force to work!

Second, we are selling the shirts individually and all of the money made will go towards purchasing the items that we are bringing to Hope Creek School (sporting equipment, school supplies, etc...).  The cost of the shirt is $20.  If you would like to purchase a shirt please contact us with quantity,   size(s) and shipping information.  We will reach out to coordinate payment, etc...

Passports and Parties

Today was an exciting day!  We came home to find the kids passports had arrived.  This is a major milestone in the process of being able to make this trip. 

We are also going to be hosting a small get together for friends in the area to provide the kids an opportunity to share their hopes and goals for the trip.  Please be praying for a successful event and that God would use our children in a mighty way.

Kriol Bible - who knew?!?!

Our family has some dear missionary friends in Belize, Curt and Jackie Bradley.  Several years ago they were in the states and we had the joy of spending some time with them.  During the visit they gave us a copy of the Gospel of John written in Kriol.  Who knew that we would have the opportunity to put it to use!  Plan on taking this baby with us on our trip this summer.

What else can I donate?

Along with financial support we will be taking some supplies to the school in Belize.

We're Going to Belize!

Cirelle and I have always shared a heart for missions and we work hard to instill the same love in our children. One thing we have wanted to do for a very long time is go on a mission’s trip as a family. We have both been on one and know firsthand what an impact it can have on someone’s life.

God has blessed us with an awesome opportunity to go on a family mission’s trip this summer with our church West Bradenton Baptist. And to top it off, it’s to Belize, the place we have wanted to go to the most! We will be going to Dangriga, Belize to work with KidzConnect4Jesus and Hope Creek School. During the trip we will be hosting VBS type classes with kids, helping with tutoring, assisting teachers in the classrooms, and improvement/repair projects around the school

As you can imagine we have a lot of planning and work ahead of us over the next two months to get ready. The goal of this blog is to document our journey and allow you to be a part of, what is going to be, an amazing experience!
